Favourites

This is a running list of things I genuinely use – home bits, gadgets, skincare, and the random stuff that makes life easier. A few links are affiliate, but nothing’s here unless I’ve bought it myself and swear by it.

Computer

My previous MacBook gave up on life (logic board failure, naturally), so I upgraded to the 16-inch MacBook Pro, M4 Max with 32GB RAM. It’s fast, reliable, and handles gaming and video editing without breaking a sweat. Zero regrets (except perhaps the painful price tag).

Phone

I’ve got the trusty iPhone 16 Pro Max – I’m not one for upgrading every year, so unless I break it or have it stolen (again), I’ll have it for a while. I use it for most of my video and content online!

DJI Osmo Gimbal 7P

This is what I use when I want my videos to look smooth and intentional, rather than like I was being chased – ha! I use it at home a lot too, since it automates focus and direction, fixes lighting and textures, and is generally fun to play with.

Rode Wireless Micro

Small, lightweight, and beautiful sound quality. I’m not really an expert with this kind of thing, but it does me well and if you’re just getting started with content creation, it’ll do you fine!

Kindle Paperwhite

I love physical books, but the Kindle is undefeated for travel and bedtime reading. It’s light, easy on the eyes, and lets me carry an entire library without dislocating a shoulder. Once you get over the lack of book smell, it’s dangerously convenient. Oh, and can you tell green is my favourite colour?

NordVPN

I use NordVPN all the time – at home, while travelling or working remotely, mostly so I can use public Wi-Fi without feeling mildly anxious. It’s easy, reliable, and one of those things you don’t think about – which is exactly the point.

Nomad E-Sim

Nomad’s eSIM means I land, turn my phone on, and immediately have data – I’ve tried Airalo and a few others, but when it comes to coverage and cost, I haven’t found anything that beats these guys. They also give you points that you can claim back on more sims, so you always have fab rates.

Viridian Supplements

Viridian is my go-to for supplements because they’re committed to using high-quality ingredients. I typically take B-Complex, Ester-C, Iron and Magnesium a few times a week. Please consult a medical professional before starting supps – I have certain deficiencies that I have to address, and it might not be the same for you!

Wiley’s Finest Fish Oil

This fish oil is the only dietary supplement I take every single day without fail. It’s responsibly sourced, excellent quality and – crucially – has a mega size capsule meaning you don’t have to take all those little balls.

Thriva

As I’m a little overweight, have PCOS, migraines and a rare neurological disorder, I like to keep closer tabs on my health to make sure I’m keeping an eye on things. I don’t just want to wait until I have symptoms, go to the GP and get bloods done that way, especially as so many diseases can just creep up on you. I’ve been using Thriva once every 18-24 months for years now, and I think I’ll continue to use them forever.

Cleansers

I’m naughty and don’t cleanse a lot unless I wear make-up, I sorta just over tone my face with pads, but when I do use cleansers it’s either the Elemis Cleansing Balm or one of the below:

– Aqua Rice Foam Cleanser

– Ma:anyo Pure Cleansing Oil

Toners

I’m currently obsessed with Numbizen’s Number 3 toner – it’s super light and gentle – but I often alternate between these faves:

– Pixi Glow Milk Tonic

– Skinfood Carrot Carotene Toner Pads

– Mediheal Phyto-Enzyme Peeling Pads

Serums

I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with serums… but they all do different things, okay?! My current number one is Dr G.’s Black Snail Retinol Ampoule since it leaves my skin looking like as close to “I was just born” as possible, but these follow closely behind:

– Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule

– Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Serum

– Reedle Shot 300

– D’Alba White Truffle Mist

– Vichy Mineral 89 Gel

Moisturisers

I alternate moisturisers pretty regularly, but no matter I what I use, I always go back to S. Nature’s Aqua Squalene. Here are a few others I enjoy:

– Dr.G Dermoisture Barrier Intense Cream

– Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream Mist

Sheet Masks

I’ve tried my fair share of sheet masks (like at least 50 different types – thanks South Korea), and there’s always one that transforms my face COMPLETELY after use, to the extent that I’m convinced there’s some weird sorcery going on. The Dr. G Red Blemish Hyal Cica Cooling Gel Mask genuinely deletes pores and fine lines, and leaves my skin looking gorgeous. It’s my go to, but I also rate:

– Biodance Collagen Masks

– Mediheal Masks

Scrubs

The texture and scent combo of the Whipped Muhwabutter Cleanser (the fig one) takes the top spot. It’s definitely more a cleanser than a scrub, but anything that has a thick consistency I tend to use in the shower to “scrub” and clean rather than to take make up off, so it goes in this category. I also religiously alternate between a few others:

– Elemis Clarifying Clay Wash

– Fully Green Tomato Clay Mask Cleanser (also hubby’s fave)

– Sukin Face Scrub

CurrentBody LED Mask Series 2

A little bit of an investment, but definitely a worthwhile one only IF you intend to use it at least 3 times a week. If you’re going to dump it into a drawer after two uses, don’t waste your money. I started seeing a difference a few months in – there’s this youthful glow I now have that I didn’t even have in my 20s lol.

Dyson Airwrap

New ones have since been released so do your research, but I use this bad boy all the time. It makes me feel like I have salon locks in 15 minutes without the added cost or hassle of actually going outside. Takes a bit of getting used to… I’d recommend watching some Youtube vids for practice! Not mine, I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Delonghi Bean to Cup Coffee Machine

This machine is the backbone of my mornings. Fresh coffee at the press of a button, no barista queue, no small talk. It’s paid for itself many times over in saved money and improved mood… and the smell of beans you’ve just ground? Absolute yum.

Aeropress

When we travel, we always take our Aeropress with us. If there isn’t a proper coffee machine, it does the job surprisingly well. In some ways it’s even more reliable than expensive machines, because you don’t have to worry about limescale or built-up grime affecting the taste.

Fellow Prismo for Aeropress

Finding the right filters for the Aeropress while on the move can be a nightmare, especially in more remote off the beaten path nooks of the world, so we found a fantastic alternative that eradicates the need for filters altogether!
